Remembering The King.

Born 1341 B.C.E., King Tut was the 12th king of the 18th Egyptian dynasty, in power from 1361 B.C.E. to 1352 B.C.E.

“In the room were various artifacts for his journey—oils, perfumes, toys from his childhood, precious jewelry, and statues of gold and ebony. The most fascinating item found was the stone sarcophagus containing three coffins, one inside the other, with a final coffin made of gold. When the lid of the third coffin was raised, King Tut’s royal mummy was revealed, preserved for more than 3,000 years. As archaeologists examined the mummy, they found other artifacts, including bracelets, rings and collars. Over the next 17 years, Carter and his associates carefully excavated the four-room tomb, uncovering an incredible collection of thousands of priceless objects”.© 2013 A+E Networks. They Tried. They put everything possibe in the tomb for him to take into the “Afterlife”.

That is not to say I don’t like the finer things in life. I do. I really do. The problem we face today is that we have children dying at an alarming rate. People facing starvation, malnutrition and a very serious water scarcity.Thousands die daily!  It all comes down to our own integrity and morality. How much do we contribute to life’s solutions? Do we know what they are? Do we care? You’ll be surprised to know many people just don’t give a ……………!!!

Let us pause for a moment…………………………….                                                                     longer………………………………………………………………………………………… Let’s us think before we act. Think before we buy. Proceed with caution, before we spend. Ask ourselves where this product came from, who is benefiting from it and what, if any, collateral circumstances occur by buying this product/service. How does it affect the person/people that made it, my family, our health, the environment? Everything we do has an impact. We can contribute or detract. We can benefit or harm.

Most corporations care only for the their bottom line, even at the expense of the only planet we have. We are destroying it very rapidly. Humanity needs you now! Deforestation to grow corn, to feed livestock, to feed ourselves? Wouldn’t that corn feed dying children?               End Starvation? What will be left for our children? For their future?                                                 The only humanity left, may still be found within us.

We must act NOW!!

Think local, act global.

Please think before you buy. No one is perfect. I definitely am not.                                                       But if we all do a little bit, we may just have a chance.

Perhaps many, many years from now, someone will discover our empty tombs, with no gold, silver or precious jewels and we may finally, once and for all prove, we learned from the Egyptians!

Why are YOU running?

Life passes quickly!

Our couch is not a friend if we’re with it too often. The television is robbing you blind! Get rid of it or at least, limit your time with it. These are NOT your friends. They are thieves robbing you of happiness, health, awareness and freedom.

Just puting on my running shoes and getting out the door, is very liberating. In it’s simplicity, the complexity of life diminishes through the sweat of my body!

Money$$ in the bank for future use. You, Your greatest investment!

Need therapy? Run. Stressed out? Run. Depressed? Run. Just got fired? Run. It’s a great escape from life’s pressures. It’s where I converse with God. Where I analyze my life or just float in the clouds. It’s nature allowing me her grace, cause we’ve gone so far from it. The trees, the birds, the deer. All friends that I haven’t met yet.

The in-shape girls with hourglass figures, the friendly nod ” hello”  from a total stranger, the look of agony on a wrinkled grandmother determined to defy time. Paved paths through trees and hills where the clouds give cover to our inermost feelings, and the sun’s rays can warm even our darkest sorrows.

I run to be with those I love.

I run for peace in time of war.

For those that died and wish I’d known.

For all too sick to stand. Stand on their own.

Why are YOU running!
